Delta hedging of a leap year...

I am child of bewilderness. I make hundred plans and cancel several thousand others every day. I may take ages to make a simple decision like choosing my mobile number but do huge things in a jiffy. I think I will someday do something really crazy overnight. As such, I recall, most of big shocks or so called events in my life happened overnight only. I got my first boyfriend overnight..just like that out of a drunk confession. I did some crazy near death thing overnight- actually I wasn't really awake to know what happened. I’ve also found myself randomly out of nowhere in a police station overnight, I got mugged by a strange turn of events on highway..just overnight…and last I checked, I lost my boyfriend too overnight….just like that, overnight, I was single. O.V.E.R.N.I.G.H.T. Without getting into intricacies of how I feel about my overnight mishaps, I would say I like them, though the track record sucks. Just one good thing of most of what I recall. Anyway, it was about leap ye...

V Day- Lets b stupid again n again n again...

Bade frustrations hain yaar is pyaar ke jhamele mein…no? kabhi to ye dil kahin mil nahi paate kahin pe nikal aaye janmon ke naate..Ah the sweet 70’s love story. Whoever heard of double dating, ditching, long distance in those days? But jaise jaise human race ne progress ki, sab kuch kafi simple ho gaya, bas pyaar hi complicated hota gaya. Singles have 364 days; lovers have one….and many other such random happy thoughts for people. Single or taken, people act crazy. I remember a friend of mine confessing how he went to the terrace and cried quietly on Valentine’s day at the fact that he has no one to celebrate this day with. Kya hi fark padta hai, Valentine’s day is commercial gimmick to make people yearn for otherwise clichéd things and attach importance to material things which are overvalued (overweight stock huh) I think I managed this date all my life pretty well. I give all credit to roadside romeos around my house who made it special for me by leaving anonymous gifts in front of ...

Setting free???

How much i loved, i realized when it was over Its not so difficult to live but gets difficult the moment i get sober Its easy and you get over it but you see you have killed a part of you its easy just that, at a time many things haunt and solaces are few. It gets difficult when you change your clothes and smell him instead of you.... and realize how you belonged less to yourself anymore, and try and look at yourself and feel this image is an abandoned thing It gets difficult when someone gets stuck to your surroundings, like that adamant zipper, which would just not budge and tear it all if you push... Its when you don't want to smile on good times you have had You swoon for the ones you imagined in coming days and the life beyond which now looks ordinary Its pretty strange how people behave towards lost love but my take is rather maddening on this if its meant to be over, it was after all meant to begin as well rest of the meaning you have to decipher Its a wafer thin line on eac...

Celebrate!

I like cos curve…It’s so perfect. Starts from a high, goes all the way and ends at high…well technically it doesn’t end at all. If you ignore the frame of reference, it just goes through highs and lows, its just a lagging sine curve, or maybe leading. But oh! How can you do away with frame of reference, how perceived realties will become abstract like that! It’s the repetition which gives it a definition. Actually if we come to think of it, repetition is an important aspect which gives definition to most of the things, which can lead us to generalized solutions. I did hate mathematical induction. I guess I am getting at peace with the concept now. The journey with Birthdays and now for the first time, some sort of anniversary is also peculiar. I loved birthdays as a child…Who doesn’t? Then I grew out of the concept thinking how is that a big deal...just like most of us do. Now I have found peace with it too. Birthdays, anniversaries, occasions and festivals are great. They are things ...

Tranquility of a new year...

After all, what is there so different or special with onset of a new year that we behave so differently? It is different no doubt... We all have plans, those who don’t at least acknowledge they don’t have any plan when it ideally should be there. Not having a plan is also a plan to do nothing special in this supposedly special occasion. New year with resolutions and grand parties, sliding to the other side with pomp and show. All that and much more comes tagged with the new year plan. Wonder what is so special about this New Year thing that everyone wants to do something. What’s worth thinking is that what we plan to do is either a setting book to zero by doing what we have always done wrong again, a fesh strart so to say... or a book building which is doing something that we always planned to do and did not start/ finish and now want to give it a chance.. I have, like others, spent few of these transitional points glued to TV looking at clocks around the world ticking towards the m...

Excel in life

There are three kind of crisis... First ones are sudden that come unannounced, like the girlfriend in middle of a match. Unannounced and unwanted- a totally untamed situation... Second ones linger for ages which keep you in constant feeling of uneasiness...like meeting your girlfriend's folks. You have to do it someday but behaved as if it is always going to be a 'forever-away' thing... And the third one are like companions who have been defined, acknowledged and accepted...like working in a financial sector- you acknowledge and accept how close you stay to the pink slip, the feeling is your forever-companion... Anyway, whichever crisis one has to tackle at any point of time, the solution is trivial still tricky. Just like it is in Excel! Yeah our better half MS Excel. Drag a couple of things here, put some formulae there, sort, filter, transpose and format and maybe add some validation. Done. Error! Circular Reference.. A circular reference is a series of references where ...

Back to square one...

Its a funny realization.... Of 'back to square one.' Everything seeks to be back to square one. I guess that's in the nature. How mythology talks of evolution and after traversing through ages and yugas, leads us to end of the world...oh no, this has nothing to do with 2012 thoughts... This must be a restlessness of a sort. To understand anything, you need to go deep, know it in and out, and once you do, the proof is that you can explain it in one sentence, maybe two. It all leads back to square one. People are always running hither tither to things and places and experiences. And in the end, they realize what they want to do ultimately in the end is to go where they began. Young people want to go to new cities, have untamed lives out of the reach of their family and people they were accustomed to..and then the daze of those days thins and reveals yearning of a sort to return home. Kids want to grow up, Grown up wants to work, earn money, have freedom and once they do that,...
